Parisian-born musician Eog Makedah rediscovered her roots when she went back to live in Yaoundé, Cameroon as a teenager. Her sound, inspired by R’n’B and black music, has made a mark on the hip hop scene, where she has worked with a number of artists, like the rapper Krotal. After singing backing vocals for some major music names, like Manu Dibango, Fredy Massamba and Les Nubians, she finally made the jump and produced her first album, Peace, Love and Light, which cooks up a stew of soul, jazz, afrobeat, bossa nova, makossa and hip hop.
